[Bathford Village Club]
Julianne Mackrell writes:
‘The newly formed Bathford History group on Facebook has proved popular since the demise of the Bathford History Society in the summer.
The hope is that there is interest in recording all of the valuable research which is held by a local resident currently.
The Village Club (former Legion) will be the venue for our long-awaited meet-up! The group has already reunited old neighbours who are keen to share memories.
Everyone is welcome to attend; there is no charge, but please buy a drink to support the venue for hosting us.
We hope to see you; we can have nostalgic chats, and if you have items or photos to share, please bring them along.
Please find us on Facebook and click ” Interested ” if you are able to help us gauge numbers. The meet will be Sunday 29th November at 2 pm.’
We lived in Dovers Park for 25 years, having moved some 8 miles into West Wilts 20 years ago.
I have two talks available in case you are short of speakers.
1. The History and Development of the Computer.
2. The History ad Development of the Pipe Organ.
Both talks are illustrated by digital slides, and the second talk also features recordings of various instruments.
