A bus ride with Fran!

Out and about on Tuesday morning, taking the bus and hitting a bit of a traffic jam, too!

I’ve heard from First about the lady whose voice announces bus stops.

A spokesperson told me: “Pleased you like the announcements. The voice belongs to Fran Edwards, who works in our Bristol business. “

  1. Hi Richard we love listening to the bus announcements and a friend of mine thinks it is Briony May William’s from Escape to the Country.
Get on the D1 Bradford on Avon to Bath
bus we love the way the announcer says Turley Turn

Hope you can find out who it is.

  2. The RUH covered every available piece of land with parking which is cheap/free. Council provides extensive free on-street parking. Thousands of largely single occupancy vehicles converge on the site, peaking at start of office day. Roads full of cars, buses stuck, people put off cycling by danger… it is simple really. To see any different means giving people some safe affordable alternatives and making parking a bit less attractive. There is currently little in the pipeline (with funding at lesst)

  3. The queues are often like this. Perhaps due to the cars trying to get into the RUH car park which is full most of the time, therefore holding up all the traffic in the main road.
