| Ambitious ways to create low traffic neighbourhoods and help improve people’s health will be discussed at a free event in Bath later this month.
Bath & North East Somerset Council is hosting an event looking at ways to change the way people travel around the city in order to help improve air quality and promote more walking and cycling. Guest speaker Councillor Clyde Loakes, deputy leader of Waltham Forest Council, will talk about the positive impact low traffic neighbourhoods are having in the North London district. Councillor Joanna Wright, joint cabinet member for Transport, said: “I’ve invited Councillor Loakes to come and talk to us about the positive impact low traffic neighbourhoods are having in Waltham Forest so residents can hear first-hand about them because we have ambitious plans to change the way people travel in our city.
