Save the wall.

Please – friends of Sydney gardens or B&NES Parks Department –  find some stone to fill up the hole in this length of stone wall which is just inside the side gate to the park – off the Sydney Road.

If it collapses it will affect the integrity of the whole wall and you have enough things to spend your Heritage Lottery money on without having to rebuild this wall.

  1. Actually, Richard, I’d quite like this wall taken down so that the entry made about 1852 created because the college had fenced off the back could be restored. So not repair but recreate this lovely entrance which at present is overgrown and used as a smoking place for the cafe staff.
