One of Bath’s prestige 5-star hotels appears to be changing hands.
According to the Scottish-based Herald newspaper, Macdonalds Hotels is selling 27 of its properties including the Macdonald Bath Spa and Hotel behind Sydney gardens.
The newspaper says the deal – to a private equity player – would clear Macdonald Hotels bank debt of nearly £190 million and is expected to be concluded by the end of August.
