It’s your final chance this coming Saturday morning – June 22nd – to walk in the steps of our nation’s naval hero Admiral Lord Nelson by joining the last of this summer’s guided trails which will explore his connections to Bath.
Led by members of the Nelson Society, the walk starts – at 11 am – from the Bath Royal Literary and Scientific Institution in Queen Square. It last about an hour.
Get there by 10.45 and l’ll show you another Nelson connection. The tiny bottle with a label explaining how the content played a role in bringing the dead victor of Trafalgar back to England for burial.
It’s an object l have investigated as part of an exhibition of interesting artefacts from the BRLSI collection.
