Christmas in Bath doesn’t have to be all about shopping. Take a break from the busy streets to enjoy a selection of amazing art exhibitions the city is currently offering.
For me – as an amateur snapper – it was great to get an invite to the Museum of Bath Architecture’s preview of celebrity photographer Clive Arrowsmith’s “Peter Gabriel Reflections” which has just opened and runs now until February 3rd 2019.
Clive is famous for his work in fashion photography with Vogue magazine and for photographing everyone from Sir Paul McCartney and Prince Charles to David Bowie and Kate Bush.

Back in 1978 he came to Bath to photograph ex Genesis singer Peter Gabriel – in a series of well-known locations – as the artist was at the start of a solo career.

We know Peter for his association with the Real World Studios at Box and for putting our very own Little Solsbury Hill on vinyl.

There is an amazing selection of photos – taken at that time – and now on view in the city after forty years.

Clive was down from London for the opening – he’s coming back soon for an event at No 15 Great Pulteney Street, who have sponsored this exhibition – but l wanted to know how he felt now the pictures were finally on the wall.
Find out more via http://museumofbatharchitecture.org.uk/events/ where there is also details about An Evening with Clive Arrowsmith which is happening at No 15 Great Pulteney Street on January 15th next year.
