Seeing red.

I love the Royal Mail. I  recently pointed out the difference in appearance of a Victoria Regina pillar mail box in Great Pulteney Street compared to a George Rex box at the city end of the London Road.

On Twitter l was told by Royal Mail that they would tell their local guys to go and check it out.

Well someone has certainly been along to take a look.

The lovely old stamp dispenser – which was attached to the side of the pillar – has been ripped off.

The dirty and somewhat faded box is usually surrounded by bits and pieces of furniture from a second-hand furniture shop alongside.

The same box - now minus its dispenser. The bric-a- brac belongs to a second-hand furniture shop nearby.

I have no idea who owns the take-away coffee cup on its top.

If anything else happens – I will keep you posted!
