Can anyone help members of the Mayor of Bath’s Honorary Corps of Guides. The local people with a love of their city’s history who give free tours to locals and tourists every day of the year – except Christmas Day!
Mr Andy Clark who is a member of the Sunday morning team has asked if anyone can help identify this.
“The attached shows one of a number of markers around the Battle of Lansdown site and I’m being asked by someone I know who visited the site recently and who is not local, just what they actually mean – maybe military positions or sites of a skirmish etc…”
I had a quick look through my copy of John Wroughton’s “The Battle of Lansdown 1643 – an explorer’s guide” but could find nothing similar.
