A real bus-stop!

The first real bus-stop has been erected on the newly re-modelled High Street but it is only a temporary measure. The extended paving will have to come up again when bus shelters are installed.

It is a real on-going situation and l am sure B&NES is learning organising lessons from it that will benefit any future large-scale developments in the town centre.

Shame to see litter scattered everywhere outside Sydney Gardens too. It seems to be the case that bins are emptied, and the bags placed for collection, at the end of one day – but not collected until the following morning. Every animal in town is not going to resist a free meal during the hours of darkness.

Can we have a re-think about this B&NES and reduce the amount of time rubbish bags stay on our streets.

Meanwhile two big cranes at work in Beau Street where the new five star Gainsborough Spa Hotel is rapidly taking shape. Looks like the roof girder structure is now in place on top of the extended number of floors beneath.

It’s due to open next Spring and l am hoping someone at YTL – who are the developers – will let the Virtual Museum have a look around soon!
