Took a walk around the park yesterday but this one was on a slightly bigger scale than those l am used to in Bath.

Yorkshire Sculpture Park is located within the 500 acres of the 18th century Bretton Hall Estate – not that far from Leeds – and it is where you can explore up to 100 sculptures and installations by international and local artists .

It’s all set in beautiful countryside complete with a picturesque lake, grassy slopes, bluebell woods, manicured gardens and families of sheep resting under the shade of mighty oak trees.

It was worth the drive! As my husband Darren – who was behind the wheel – l am sure will agree.

We are currently in York – so more to follow.

Wouldn’t it be wonderful to have outdoor sculptures in Bath?
The American Museum used to have sculptures in its garden, my wife bought me a piece for our wedding anniversary one year. It’s in our garden and I get great pleasure from it every time I see it.
