Taking art outdoors

Took a walk around the park yesterday but this one was on a slightly bigger scale than those l am used to in Bath.

Yorkshire Sculpture Park is located within the 500 acres of the 18th century Bretton Hall Estate – not that far from Leeds – and it is where you can explore up to 100 sculptures and installations by international and local artists .

It’s all set in beautiful countryside complete with a picturesque lake, grassy slopes, bluebell woods, manicured gardens and families of sheep resting under the shade of mighty oak trees.

Cannot understand anyone wanting to kill and eat these!

It was worth the drive! As my husband Darren – who was behind the wheel – l am sure will agree.

  1. The American Museum used to have sculptures in its garden, my wife bought me a piece for our wedding anniversary one year. It’s in our garden and I get great pleasure from it every time I see it.
