Pix of the day. Sunday, January 11th

Well, Ralph, you’ve started something!

Yesterday l showed you Mr Oswick holding a monster bar of Toblerone and admitted that the brand was a favourite of mine.

The picture above represents chocolate heaven as far as I am concerned.

It was sent in by Jane Goodwin, who writes;

“This was in a Swiss motorway service station 6 years ago. A whole area dedicated to Toblerone!

I still have the tote bag they gave us to put our purchases in. Toblerone in every size!!”

Yummy!

Meanwhile, here’s proof that the brand can come in other forms.

Rosie Bulford sent me this delicious narrowboat image.

“You mentioned Toblerone today, so I thought you might enjoy this picture of a narrowboat moored on the Oxford Canal over Christmas!

Hope you’ll feel better soon.”

Thanks, Rosie. I am getting there.

Ralph Oswick came back on this one later today (Sunday).

He remarked: “Ha ha. Very good. Of course (at least according to a telly quiz question recently), they have had to take the iconic mountain peak off the packaging as it is no longer made in Switzerland.”

But there’s hope. See https://lenews.ch/2025/04/11/toblerone-reclaims-its-swiss-identity/ he says.
