Doing our bit for the planet.

For eight years now, one little Bath-based charity has had a big message for us consumers. Don’t throw it away!

It’s called Share and Repair. Its mission is to help local people and the planet by reducing, repairing and reusing clothing and consumer goods.

The organisation is supported by a whole host of volunteers – many of whom are skilled at everything from sewing to electronics.

It recently moved from a shop in George Street to the second floor of Redbridge House – just off the Lower Bristol Road. The building is also a temporary home for our local police.

Ruth is clutching a recent charity award from Radio Bath. The charity also boasts the King’s Award for Voluntary Service.

I popped along to chat with the charity’s CEO, Ruth Lambert – just after Share and Repair opened for the day.
