Bath Digital Festival is back next week! Transforming the city into a vibrant centre of innovation, connections, and cutting-edge technology over three dynamic days.

This carefully curated event serves as a platform for the entire South West region to explore, learn, and celebrate advancements across the digital and tech industries.

Running from the 13-15th May, the festival will feature a diverse program of free-to-attend events, including interactive showcases, thought-provoking discussions, and engaging debates.
Attendees will have opportunities to get hands-on with emerging technologies, connect with visionary minds shaping our digital future, and experience the unique energy of this celebrated tech festival.

The three-day technological showcase, hosted and run by techspark, the not-for-profit growth network, will each have its own core theme, underpinning the day’s sessions and discussions:
Tuesday 13th May – SPACE: A day of exploration of our cosmos and beyond! Highlighting the South West’s position as the UKs third-largest aerospace cluster, but the Space celebration doesn’t stop there, you’ll also be able to delve into immersive digital environments and rethink physical and workspaces.
Wednesday 14th May – SUSTAIN: A day dedicated to showcasing growth and sustainable business models, and inclusive urban design that work for everyone. Topics of discussion across the day will include sessions on how skill-sharing and technology can reshape our understanding of value, and how AI is transforming everything from jobs to the talent ecosystem and what can be done, as well as how to build inclusive, scalable services that work in low-trust, low-resource environments – and still deliver big impact!
Thursday 15th May – BEINGS: The final day will focus on Beings, and not just of the human kind, but artificial, as well as human advancements in areas such as IoT, Quantum, and robotics. The day will feature a look at human and life sciences, an area the South West region is famed for, the impact of AI on mental health, as well as a debate in what it means to be human in a world increasingly shaped by AI, robotics, and digital transformation
Each day kicks off with a breakfast with lively conversation, pastries and coffee before heading straight into that day’s showcase, where attendees can get hands-on with the latest innovations.

From there the days take in a range of core and fringe events such as the keynote titled “The Legacy of Apollo – The Rise of Musk” delivered by Nick Howes Test Analyst and Space R&D Engineer at BMT, and “Is ChatGPT killing the penguins? And other AI considerations” a panel discussion hosted by Aer Studios, a creative technology studio. With a range of speakers from the likes of Microsoft, University of Bath, Bath Spa University and Rocketmakers there is something for everyone across the three days.
“Bath Digital Festival represents our continued commitment to position the South West as a leading technology region, and not just in Bath, but beyond” said Ben Shorrock, CEO of techSPARK.
