Virgin on the ridiculous!

When a utility company like Wessex Water wants to dig up our street they do us the courtesy of sending letters warning of the impending work.

Our road woke up this Saturday to the noise and vibrations of contractors working for Virgin Media. Of course, they were just doing their job, but it’s a shame the parent company cannot have better social skills.

Dig the vibrating teacups!!

PS. You try going online and finding contact information for Virgin Media!!

  1. A recent Which? report put Virgin Media bottom of the table for customer satisfaction. They must have noticed, because they sent me a customer survey and I wasn’t very complimentary. I pointed out the Which? report and the reason they were bottom was because although they and a number of others had adopted a policy of an annual “inflation plus a percentage” increases, VM were the only one who have reserved the right to also increase prices at any time. I pointed out that I was in an 18-month fixed price contract, yet VM did apply the inflation increase despite my contract. In the early Telewest days customer satisfaction was the main focus but VM’s focus was income from new customers, and existing customers are just treated as cash cows.

  2. Yes they are a nightmare – I had to go through issues when they dug up the Wells Road pavements and blocked access to my property for a few days. Then when I was out of my BT contract and wanted to switch to Virgin I found out that even though our house was divided up into 2 flats 20 years ago, Virgin only put in 1 connection, which the downstairs flat nabbed. So no access to a service which completely disrupted my life for several weeks. I tried contacting Paul Roper to find out how Virgin decided how many access points per house, but never got a response. So stuck with BT for life!
