Pix of the day. Thursday, October 19th

The retractable ‘safety’ barrier, being installed at the Abbey end of Cheap Street, is now properly revealed. Along with all the additional street signage clutter.

Not sure about the size of the control boxes – or the colour!?

  1. The control boxes are indeed horrible. Compare to the elegant little night watchman kiosk on the corner of Norfolk Crescent which essentially had the same purpose in Georgian times and is deservedly Grade 2 listed . Nobody will ever list those black lumps and associated clutter in Cheap Street!

  2. It’s seems an awful lot of money to spend on the assumption that any potential terrorists would be too stupid to adapt their methods.
