Hankie waving at Batheaston

Oh what fun we had last night mixing with the good people of Batheaston in their new village hall and celebrating the now long Anglo-French link they have had in twinning with the village of Oudon in the Loire Valley back in 2005.

The evening was also raising funds for the upkeep of the village hall and was one of many such ‘pub nights’ organised to emphasise community.

Guests of honour and – with May Day in mind – were the fabulous hankie waving Bathampton Morris Men. Oh and a rather splendid Hobby Horse with an impressive set of teeth.
