Bath’s next Mayor

Lambridge ward councillor Rob Appleyard celebrates a big birthday today and has just received a rather weighty municipal present.

He’s to be the next Mayor of Bath – the 795th person to hold that office in the city’s history.

He will be formally elected at the next annual general meeting of the Charter Trustees on May 28th.

The new Deputy Mayor will be Newbridge ward councillor Michelle O’Doherty.
