B&NES Parks Department lead a volunteer session in the Little Park on St Saviour’s Road in Larkhall to plant 25 trees, including an avenue of Midland Hawthorn.

Volunteers through the National Trust and Bathscape put in many hours as part of an ongoing project to rejuvenate this local green space into a space where local residents can interact with nature.

More work is planned in the coming months including the creation of a pond. Both Ward Cllrs, Rob Appleyard and Joanna Wright helped with the planting.

“Making spaces in Lambridge which are enriched with more nature and greater environmental diversity is a good way to combat the ecological emergency” said Cllr Joanna Wright.
