Bit short notice this but residents in Bathavon have a chance to help draw up the Area Forum’s priorities for the coming year and beyond by joining its next Zoom meeting tomorrow (8 February).
The Forum wants to understand the needs and aspirations of its communities to inform and shape its activities.
The meeting, which is being held via Zoom at 6pm, will also receive an update on the council’s ongoing ‘Journey to Net Zero’ consultation and will hear about progress made on establishing a Bathavon Climate and Nature Group.
Councillor Kevin Guy, leader of the council said: “The council’s purpose is to improve the lives of residents and if we are to deliver on this it is essential communities share information and feedback. Our regular Area Forums give us the chance to listen to what people have to say and I’d urge residents to try to attend and let us hear their views.”
Area Forums are open to all and bring together public services, local organisations and residents to improve local engagement, encourage people to talk to each other and share their skills and ideas. There are five Forums in Bath and North East Somerset which are supported by the council.
Bathavon Area Forum comprises the parished areas of: Bathampton; Batheaston; Bathford; Camerton; Combe Hay; Charlcombe; Claverton; Dunkerton and Tunley; Englishcombe; Freshford; Hinton Charterhouse; Kelston; Monkton Combe; Newton St Loe; North Stoke; Priston; Shoscombe; South Stoke; St Catherine; Swainswick and Wellow.
