Lockdown at least gives you time to think outside your own particular ‘box’ and – as l had an opportunity to leave home this morning – l decided l would set out to share some of my thoughts with you.

  1. Extracting hydro power – there are other weirs close by, both upstream and downstream, which perhaps would be easier to tackle. I’ve never really understood what the ‘gate’ is there for to the south of the Pulteney Weir.

    Milsom Street Market – yes, but bus re-routeing would be required.

    You omitted Bath Pavilion from your list. This perhaps is an easier place to upgrade. There’s a lot to lose if you were to turn the station into a posh concert venue.

  2. There’s a lot been lost because Bath hasn’t had a posh concert venue. There have been plans to build one, in various locations, for nearly 200 years.
