The pandemic has certainly left its mark on Bath’s tourist and retail trade – with the loss of so many overseas visitors – but it seems those UK ‘staycationers’ have brought some cheer to the city in making up some of the difference.
It’s one of the things to come out of a chat with Wera Hobhouse – MP for Bath – and one parliamentary representative exploiting the online means of staying in touch with her constituents.
Wera’s been organising a whole series of on-line public meetings – via Zoom – and is holding another next Wednesday, September 16th between 6 and 7.30 pm.
Covid -19 and lockdown has had a profound impact on so many aspects of our daily lives – as she explained in a Zoom meeting with me!
