My thanks to fellow Mayor’s Guide Michael Whitcroft for a couple of stunning shots of historic Sydney Gardens.

As Michael says –  rare images showing nature at its best and completely empty of people.

He also came upon a sadder sight – further along the Kennet and Avon Canal – where a boat has been burnt out.

  1. I saw this boat the day before the fire. It looked dirty and neglected. Highly suspicious!
