Good to see that the protective screening at the east end of Bath Abbey has come down as the work to replace all the ledger stones in that area nears completion.
Now you can see the East window again.
I understand the Rector would like to see this part of the city’s parish church back in action in time for Pentacost Sunday – which is June the 9th.
The Victorian pews are long gone.

The font being prepared for temporary protection.Almost all the ledger stones have been re-laid.The whole Abbey will benefit from underfloor heating. Induction rods in the nearby thermal spring will provide much of the energy.
