After the Roman Baths and Georgian architecture, English novelist Jane Austen must rank pretty highly amongst our city’s tourist attractions.

With a Jane Austen Centre – and annual festival – she certainly helps bring in the pennies to a place in which she lived for more than five years and used as the base for two of her best-sellers.
