Leap of Faith!

Full of admiration this morning for one of the first of what is expected to be one hundred people who will be abseiling from the 49-metre tower of Bath Abbey to raise money for good causes.

The tower is 49 metres high.

In what definitely can be called a ‘leap of faith’ – though it is very safely controlled – the aim is to raise £20,000 to be split between the Genesis Trust – which supports vulnerable and homeless people – and the Abbey’s Footprint Project.

Here’s one of the fundraisers at the start of his way down.

  1. As much as I admire people raising money, I hope the Bath Stonework is not going to be damaged in the process!

  2. Bath Abbey is like a beautiful wine it matures with age… so what if bits are falling off its majesty will stand for aeons regardless of a few humants climbing all over her… DeafboyOne justsayin
