Twenty past nine this morning and – what cycle docking ports that remain available on the High Street – were full. That is on both sides – Guildhall and The Corridor entrance.
It really is time B&NES got their act together and replaced the missing hoops outside their HQ. These hoops are made of gun metal and anchored with two shallow bolts. They are not fit for purpose.
Surely – even scrap metal value – would bring enough to pay for some more ordinary and practical racks to be installed in their place.
It’s fine to have notices warning of prosecution if you lock your bike to their Guildhall fence but maybe – if we all did that en masse – it might shake ( or shame) them into action.
