Good to see the Laura Place fountain finally filled with running water again.
It’s a wonderful sight to greet the tourists crossing Pulteney Bridge on their way into Great Pulteney Street – and maybe the Holburne Museum and Sydney Gardens at the other end.
This rather understated celebration of Bath and its waters – hot and cold – at least is once more back doing what it does best.
That follows losing a hefty chunk of its masonry after a hit and run incident.
Police and local authority are still hoping someone can lead them towards identifying the culprit so they can send the bill for repairs.
I have a feeling that isn’t going to happen.
