Just in case you missed all the processional pomp and ceremony around the Guildhall and Bath Abbey today……it was graduation day for a lot of students at the University of Bath and a lot of proud parents busy taking photos of their offspring.
Your Director was trying to catch glimpses of the three personalities getting Honorary Doctorates from the University – starting this morning with Sir Bobby Charlton.
I couldn’t resist telling him we could have done with his help against Iceland.

Later in the day l said hello to Bath’s former MP Don Foster and swapped a few stories about our joint hometown of Weston super Mare with John Cleese.
He was born at Uphill where l went to school.

Lovely to see everyone in such a good humour and that goes for the University’s Chancellor HRH Prince Edward too.
Pictured here conferring an Honorary Degree upon John Cleese.
Well done Bath University and congratulations to all.
