Go crackers for charity

The Royal United Hospital’s charity fund, RUHX, is inviting workplaces, community groups, clubs, schools, nurseries, friends and families across Bath, Somerset and Wiltshire to come together this December for RUHdolph Day, a brand-new festive fundraiser supporting patients, families and staff at the Royal United Hospitals Bath.

Christmas is about the people we love. It’s about coming together, making memories and spending time with the people who matter most.

Yet every Christmas, thousands of patients, families and staff spend the festive season at the RUH Bath. For them, Christmas can look very different.

That’s why RUHX, the official charity of the Royal United Hospitals Bath, is calling on the local community to gather their herd, unleash their festive spirit and make a difference for local patients this Christmas and beyond.

RUHdolph Day will take place on Wednesday 9 December, but supporters can choose any day during December that works for them.

Laura Snell, Events & Community Manager at RUHX said:

“Taking part couldn’t be easier, and it might even earn you a place on Santa’s nice list! Whether you take part with colleagues, teammates, community groups, or friends and family, we’re asking everyone to gather their herd, wear something merry and bright to help raise vital funds for local patients and families.

And if you want to take your festivities even further, you could:

  • hold a festive bake sale or mince pie and coffee morning
  • get together for some reindeer games
  • deck the halls (or desks!)
  • or, come up with your own festive fundraising challenge or game.

However you choose to take part, it’s a chance to have some fun, bring people together and do something really special for your local hospital this Christmas.”

Registration is free and everyone who signs up will receive a fundraising pack filled with festive ideas, resources and inspiration to help make their RUHdolph Day a cracker.
