I was given a cruise on the River Thames at Oxford by my kid sister Sammie and her husband Duncan for my birthday last July.
I must point out that, for reasons only known to the people of that noble university city, their section of the river is actually known as the Isis.
We finally got to enjoy an hour afloat today ( Tuesday) with the Oxford River Cruises company in one of their all-electric boats.
The weather was kind to us, and the whole experience was relaxing and most enjoyable.
