What’s happening behind the scaffolding?

A chance to get an update on the multi-million-pound restoration and transformation work at the National Trust’s Assembly Rooms, which are due to reopen next year.

The following email was received today from Alana Wright, who is the Visitor Experience Manager at the Grade 1-listed complex.

“You are invited to attend a public drop-in session with the National Trust about the building works at Bath Assembly Rooms. The session will take place at Boston Tea Party on Alfred Street on Wednesday 2l st October, 5-7 pm.

In mid-March 2025, the National Trust’s appointed contractors began construction work inside the historic Assembly Rooms.

Since then, a huge amount of work has been completed, and this drop-in session will give you the chance to see behind-the-scenes photographs from the building site, to find out more information about the work being undertaken, and to speak to the team managing the building work.

You are welcome to drop in to Boston Tea Party on Alfred Street at any time between 5 and 7 pm on Wednesday, 21 st October; refreshments will be provided.

You can also find out more about what’s happening at Bath Assembly Rooms on our website: www.nationaltrust.org.uk/bath-assembly-rooms

We look forward to seeing you then.”

An event open to anyone.
