Picked up a bit of info last night concerning the missing canopy over the High Street entrance to The Corridor.
It was taken down months ago after being considered unsafe. After being dismantled, the metal pieces went to IronArt in Larkhall to be restored.
I had heard the ornate feature was going to be reassembled this month, but it turns out the retailers there are concerned that scaffolding would interfere with trade during the coming Christmas Market, so the job has been put off until the new year.
