Sharing her life with Nepal

I have known Lisa Whitehouse-Foskett for some years now. We meet every few months, on either side of a pair of toenail clippers!

She is the Bath-based podiatrist who sends me skipping back out into the street once my feet have been magically restored to some semblance of the ‘little piggies’ they once were.

However, in another life, Lisa has spent more than 20 years assisting the young people of Nepal to receive a proper and fruitful education in a country steeped in poverty.

More recently, it has suffered earthquakes, civil unrest and – just weeks ago, along with neighbouring Tibet – a devastating and terrible flash flood.

Lisa founded a charity to raise money for the education of Nepalese children, and now, through that foundation, she has launched a GoFundMe appeal to help with flood relief.

I wanted to hear more about how she fell in love with such a beautiful and mountainous country, landlocked between China and India, and the birthplace of the Buddha.
