The reinstatement of The Corridor canopy is long overdue.

I am hearing that the tenants of this early example of an indoor shopping arcade are being asked to foot much of the bill for its refurbishment.

  1. I’m afraid the landlord of the corridor is notoriously mean and a poor landlord. The roofs leak and are not repaired, much of the frontages are poor or rotten. The rents are high and there is no repair fund or interest in keeping it up to scratch. The landlord makes a very good return but just loads all costs into tenants. I’m afraid they have no way to force better performance from their landlord. Maybe he can leave the corridor to NT in his will???

    1. That’s a shame Paul, if he got it repaired he could put a plaque up to himself and everyone could give him a pat on the back for doing something wonderful for the city.
      Sadly there are many properties in the city that are uncared for.
      We need a Pride in Bath campaign, dish out awards for those that do and another for those that don’t do anything

  2. Why not divert some of the money from the Fashion Museum pot? This is every bit as worthy – and probably seen by more people than the new Fashion Museum (WHEN it’s opened!) ever will be.
