For three decades, Bath Artists’ Studios has supported working artists and enriched the city’s creative life, offering studio space, community and inspiration to makers and visitors alike.
Next month, their doors are open to all with a Private View on 25 September, 5.30–9.30 pm, followed by an Open Studios weekend on 26–27 September, 11 am–5 pm.
Visitors can explore working studios, meet the artists, and see new work first-hand.
Today, Bath Artists’ Studios is the largest studio organisation in Bath and North East Somerset, home to more than 50 artists and makers working across painting, sculpture, printmaking, textiles, photography, installation and public art.
Felicity Bowers, long-standing member of the studios and Trustee, said, “This is a milestone year in every sense. We are proud of thirty years of creativity at Bath Artist’s Studios and just as determined to ensure we can carry that community forward for the next thirty. We are so much more than a place where artists work, and we can’t wait to open our doors so the public can see just how much our artists give back to the Bath art scene and the wider community alike.”
On the opening night, there will be live music from ‘The Sheriff’ and ‘Follow the Sun’, as well as food and a bar. The weekend will host a range of art workshops for adults and children, making this a free, family-friendly event for all ages.
The milestone comes at a pivotal moment for the organisation. With just until March 2027 left in its current building, Bath Artists’ Studios is actively working to secure a permanent new home, ensuring its community of artists and the wider creative life it supports in Bath can continue for the next 30 years and beyond. This anniversary is both a celebration of three decades of creativity and a look ahead at what comes next.
Open Studios 2026 is free to attend and open to all — join the artists as they celebrate their past and shape their future.
