March with Pride

[Last year’s Pride march]

With just days to go, final preparations are underway for Bath Pride’s third annual celebration this coming Saturday, 22nd August.

This year’s theme, ‘Stand Up, Show Up’, is a call for solidarity, particularly with the trans and non-binary community, and a reminder of the importance of being present for one another.

The celebrations will begin with participants gathering at Kingston Parade from 11:30 am ahead of the Pride March at 12 pm. The march will travel through Bath’s historic city centre before Pride in the Park opens at Sydney Gardens from 1 pm.

The march and Pride in the Park are completely free to attend!

Bath Pride’s family-friendly Day Stage will bring an afternoon of music, dance, drag and discussion to Sydney Gardens, hosted by returning compères Spank and Cynthia Road.

The Day Stage line-up includes Starpoint Dance Company, Latina Ballroom, Broccoli Boy, and an Intersectional Identity Panel hosted by the founder of Safe Space Bath, Leo Dylan and Tia Callum.

From 6 pm, Bath Pride will introduce its new Late Stage for suggested attendees aged 18+. Hosted by Saint Nix, the line-up includes Tom Foolery, Bhuna Baby, Hell Au Kitty, Miss Emilienne, Chandler Sellwood, Maya Poison and Pixie Sin, and Nasty Fishmonger.

Visitors will also be able to explore a wide selection of stalls from independent LGBTQ+ artists, local charities and community organisations throughout the day.

Artists’ Alley will feature Cumulo Creation, peculiar pluto, Judeam Journal, Acornucopia Treasures, Ghost Boy Labs, Kai Kathleen, Rook’s Treasures, Stegobean Studio, LilaTheLich, Grumpy Custard, World of Thoodles and Studio Vallance.

Charities and community organisations attending include Climate Hub, Healthwatch BathNES, Relationship Works, Inclusive Churches of Bath, Fostering B&NES, Denizens Society Global, Pride Comic Arts Festival, Bath & District Samaritans, The Carers’ Centre, CCS Adoption, SWEDA, Oasis Bath and Bath Roller Derby.

The Community Wellbeing Hub will also be based at the Pavilion in Sydney Gardens, offering a safe space to discuss health and wellbeing with local organisations. Drop-in activities will include Retro Dance, QiGong and a Rainbow Fruit Activity, with no booking required.

The full stalls line-up can be found at: https://bathpride.org/pride-2026/stalls/

And for the first time, Bath Pride is bringing its own dedicated food and drink traders to the event!

Son of a Bun will serve chicken and halloumi burgers and chips, while Kim Sweetness will bring Caribbean dishes including jerk chicken and pork, ackee and saltfish, rice and peas, and mac and cheese.

The Cub will serve local Electric Bear beers, wines from Wolf Wine and Karma soft drinks, while Bar Nova will offer cocktails and soft drinks.

Sydney Gardens’ existing traders will also be open, including Roasted Lemon, Fox & Kit and the Holburne Garden Café. Vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, halal and alcohol-free options will be available across selected traders.

Once the celebrations at Sydney Gardens finish, the party will continue at The Big Pride Disco, Bath Pride’s official afterparty at Komedia.

Running from 11 pm until 3 am, the 18+ event will feature guilty pleasures, throwback favourites, chart hits, a huge disco ball, confetti cannons, a professional photographer, a photo booth and drinks deals.

Attendees can use the code DISCOPRIDE when booking to receive discounted tickets, with 50% of ticket sales made using the code donated to Bath Pride.

Tickets and further information are available at https://bathpride.org/pride-2026/afterparty/.

First Aid will be available at Sydney Gardens, alongside a Lost Persons Point. Families can collect wristbands from the welcome table and write a parent or guardian’s contact number on them in case a child becomes separated from their group.

Visitors are encouraged to prepare for the weather, bring water and any medication they may need, and plan their journey before travelling. The march route includes uneven paving, bollards, and potholes, while Sydney Gardens has some uneven, steep paths. Detailed accessibility information is available through the Bath Pride website.

Those unable to attend in person will also be able to experience the day through Bath Sound’s live broadcast from Sydney Gardens, featuring interviews with organisers, volunteers and visitors alongside coverage of the stage performances.

Phoenix Dewberry (they/them), founder of Safe Space Bath, said: “Bath Pride is about creating a space where our community can come together, celebrate and stand beside one another. With just days to go, we’re incredibly excited to welcome people back for our third year. This year, we are loudly centring solidarity with our trans and non-binary community and asking everyone in Bath to stand up and show up.”

Bath Pride is a grassroots, volunteer-led charity made possible through donations and the support of local independent businesses. Donations can be made on the day or online at: https://bathpride.org/donate/
