Driving back from Chippenham today. Is it me? Or is there evidence that even our deep-rooted trees are under stress now?

Will we lose some? Water your saplings!

Horse Chestnut leaves in Henrietta Park are turning brown now.
Horse Chestnuts do go brown ealrly due to that moth infestation that appeared some years back. Apparently harmless. However this year all the conkers are are falling off before their time and we noticed when driving to B on A on Thursday that individual trees of various varieties had gone brown and crispy since we last drove that route just one week ago. At that time we had commented on how green the trees were despite being surrounded by scorched fields. In one week it is suddenly autumn. And yet I can see an apartment opposite me where the bloke spent at least an hour jet washing his balcony despite several email pleas from WessexWater. Im beginning to think people deserve what they get!!
