I am always amazed by the variety of material in the Victoria Art Gallery’s collection.
Curator Jim Riseley has been down in the vaults to round up their entire holding of Japanese woodblock prints, which features an array of actors, beauties and striking landscapes from 19th-century Japan.
They are currently on display in the upper FREE gallery – around what is rapidly becoming ‘Jim’s Corner’ – until October 18th.
I popped in, out of the sun, to see him this morning.
