Waking up in the midst of the Marais district of Paris on my 77th birthday in the same hotel we came to 34 years ago to celebrate my husband’s 21st.
Make of that what you will but we are still together and he is giving me a weekend of birthday surprises l would never be able to match.
I should have twigged something was up after seeing Moulin Rouge the Musical in London and then meeting our nephew in a French restaurant.
