The SouthGate shopping centre is ablaze with floral colour.
Summer blooms abound, whether in hanging baskets, old telephone kiosks or static displays in mock street vendors’ carts.
It’s just a shame – in my humble opinion – that they have resorted to some less sustainable material to provide a temporary seasonal canopy for the main approach to this retail complex.
I think some sort of canvas or cotton cover would have been more sustainable and more effective as a sun shade.
I completely agree, but even so, it is a big relief to go into.this cleaner area of our town!
Remember those colorful umbrellas, from a few years ago?!
