Pix of the day. Friday, June 12th

At least trees are being reinstated alongside our River Avon and in front of the old gasworks site residential development.

There’s no public walkway here – unlike the ‘River Line’ on the other side – but at least nature is being encouraged to return.

Meanwhile, on the opposite bank, another mural is taking shape beneath the Windsor Bridge.

There’s art, and there’s art, but are they both creative?

  1. Yes, it’s really good to see the trees replaced along the river bank, but they need to be carefully selected species that will not grow to tall, otherwise they just end up being regularly “butchered” in future years.

Walk ‘Art’ is ok in consensually agreed places, but most graffiti is rubbish, tags, and the like and should be removed straight away.
