June is PRIDE month – where is the flag?
Since posting this earlier today l have been told that access to the Guildhall roof is temporarily out of bounds for safety reasons, but it is going up in Parade Gardens.
Not obvious enough, say l. A post in Orange Grove would have been better.
Last year as a volunteer at the American museum ( which was started by a gay couple ) I asked why no flag. I was told they didn’t want to be tokenistic. !
Then not long ago I drew their attention to the fact that they presented as racist : no black or brown workers volunteers or visitors. I was asked not to return as a volunteer. They recently had David olusogu as a speaker. ! Not tokenistic at all !!!
