Over to you.

Zhenya Shkil writes:

“We’re delighted to be joining Refugee Week for the second year in a row since Bath embraced this wonderful event. This year, we’re excited to celebrate the diversity and richness of Ukrainian culture with you and show how it beautifully weaves into our Bath community.

We also want to support amazing new businesses like Sweet Brumble, the café opened by Iryna Malenko just last September. Iryna, originally from Oleksandriia and a MasterChef finalist, is known for her wonderful honey cakes and authentic Ukrainian cuisine.

On Saturday 13th June, from 6–9pm, you’ll be greeted with a glass of bubbly and have the chance to browse a range of Ukrainian souvenirs. Yuliia Lut will enchant us with beautiful folk songs themed around flowers—especially meaningful as Refugee Week blossoms in June. You’ll learn about the importance of wreaths and the symbolic role of flowers in Ukrainian traditions.

After a few words about our community and the Friends of Oleksandriia’s work, you’ll enjoy a delicious four‑course meal starting with a Ukrainian starter, followed by borsch, vareniki (with vegetarian options available), kompot, and Iryna’s special honey cake.

Tickets can be purchased from Eventbrite using the link https://www.eventbrite.com/e/a-spoonful-of-courage-tickets-1989080884470 or QR code on the leaflet below, and there are special discounted tickets for the Friends of Oleksandriia Members.”
