She types:

Some members of Bath-Braunschweig Twinning Association and of Bath German Society met for a picnic in the Parade Gardens today to celebrate the fifty-fifth anniversary of the signing of the official twinning agreement between our two cities.
This makes Brunswick Bath’s oldest official twin city.”

I think Richard that you’ll find that Bath has been twinned with Alkmaar for 80 years, so I’m afraid Braunsweig is far from being our oldest twinning.
