Sad to hear Sandra Higgins is closing her gallery in Shire’s Yard.
It’s been an exciting focal point for contemporary artists for some time and will be sorely missed in a city that isn’t exactly flying a giant flag for this diverse range of media and styles.

You have until April 26th to go see what is being showcased, and its certainly worth a visit.

Go into Shire’s Yard via Milsom Street and stay on the same level – don’t go down the stairs – and you’ll round a corner and see her gallery in front of you.
Sandra says she has plans to continue ‘online’ and with pop-ups and special events and projects.
So sad. I saw it when I visited Bath a few weeks ago. But a sign of the times, I’m afraid. And I’m as guilty as the next man for buying far too much online, and thereby contributing to the downfall of the retail community. I just hope the business continues to thrive – whatever its delivery model.
