Pix of the day. Monday, February 2nd

Our weather timing was pretty good yesterday morning. Finding a long enough break in this incessant rain to visit the Botanic Gardens in Royal Victoria Park.

Only shame was the lack of sunshine to fully open the petals of the blankets of winter crocuses spread out before us.

There were snowdrops and primroses and the first hint of the daffodils to come.

Must remember to bring something – next visit – for the fearless squirrels who literally come to your feet looking for the gift of food.

  1. Cute as they may seem, North American squirrels are an invasive species and can do a lot of damage to young trees. Like pigeons, they are not rare and are perfectly able to find their own food and don’t need humans to feed them.

  2. Very cheering pictures – thank you for taking time and care to get them and send them on.
