An exhibition that’s been ten years in the making is currently on display across three Bath churches.

‘Threads Through the Bible’ provides a breathtaking journey through the stories of creation, redemption and revelation in a remarkable exhibition by textile artist Jacqui Parkinson.

Featuring three monumental series – ‘Threads through Creation’, ‘Threads Through the Cross’ and ‘Threads Through Revelation’, this has to be one of the largest textile artworks ever created by a single artist.

There are 44 panels in total, and something like 25 million stitches went into creating the striking visual images created upon them.

The work is shared between St Swithins, St Michaels and Bath Abbey, where I was able to catch up with the artist as she finished a guided tour of the panels on display there.
The work – across the three churches – is on display until March lst.
