Unusual visitor.

An unusual visitor to Laura Place today. A swan by the fountain as seen by bathnewseum.com regular Michael Whitcroft.

He told me he thinks someone telephoned the RSPCA.

Swans are heavy birds that normally need a large stretch of water to enable a soft landing. The bird must have been disoriented or exhausted. I hope someone with the right knowledge came to its aid.

  1. Bath swan rescue should be contacted if people see swans like this. Young ones often crash land on roads mistakenly ( if light reflects or it is wet they think it is a waterway) . This is their number 077111303228. They are on Facebook and frequently post about the Bath swans.
