A helping hand

Good to hear that Vanguard Self Storage Bath – the place on the Lower Bristol Road with a plane in the window – is providing free storage to Christmas for CAMHS, a charity that supplies gifts to children and young people in Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services wards across the UK during the festive season.

The charity, which is predominantly run by volunteers and without a physical office, approached Vanguard’s Bath branch to rent a unit for storing and distributing donated presents. Upon learning about the charity’s vital work, Vanguard donated a complimentary storage unit, enabling Christmas for CAMHS to safely store its vital donations.

The Bath storage team will also assist in the charity’s campaign by accepting donations and helping organise and dispatch items, ensuring children and young people in need receive their gifts.

Last year, Christmas for CAMHS delivered more than 1,300 presents to young people spending Christmas as inpatients, along with decorations and Advent calendars to 134 CAMHS wards across the UK.
